Avslut av det kortsiktiga målet att förstå texten "The New Seat"

Nu har vi arbetat med texten "The New Seat" i tre veckor och det är dags att avsluta genom att testa om man nått det kortsiktiga målet att förstå texten. Vi har arbetat med att förstå varje ord i texten och dessa ord ska ni få ett litet test i form av en lucktext på fredag den 13 februari. Så här ser lucktexten ut.

From the West to the East
Hi, I am Jeffery Burns. I live in Julian, California, USA. When I was 14 my dad and I biked _________________ the United States together with 23 other people. It took us 42 days. It was a great trip but it was ______________ too. We had to fix a lot of ____________________ and once my dad had to __________________ a new bike seat.
I can’t hear anything
I am _______________, so sometimes it was kind of ______________ to bike. I ____________ two hearing aids, but I can’t hear cars coming. The other people didn’t know how to talk to me at first, but I __________________ them what to do: Tap me on my ________________ to get my ­­­­­___________________. Look at me _____________ you talk to me. Don’t have food in your mouth when you talk, because then I can’t read your lips. They _________________ really fast.

Something happened
One day something happened to my dad’s bikcycle. ___________________ the seat _______________! We tried to fix it with tape, but it didn’t work. Have you ever tried to _______________ a bike without a _____________? My dad didn’t think it was fun at all. I said I would _______________ his bike ________________ the ____________ and he could ride mine. We started off and went pretty slow. It was ______________! My legs got really tired and _________________. It was much easier going ____________________ than up, but really, really _________________.
The new seat
Suddenly my dad signaled to me to stop. He got off his bike and picked up something from the side of the road. It was an old _______________________ from a Volkswagen car. He put it on the bike I was riding and told me to try and sit on it. It was a bit cold and felt like sitting on an ___________________  ___________________, but it worked! I could ride the bike as long as I was ________________ and didn’t _______________________. It was kind of fun ______________________. I rode 15 kilometers like this. We fixed my dad’s bike that night, but we still have the hub cap as a souvenir.

The last day of the trip we came to a place called Rehoboth Beach. When we arrived police cars took us across a _____________________. My dad and I were ______________________. We were in the newspaper. We ___________________. We biked 5,000 kilometers. Then we turned around and biked all the way home again. No, I’m just ______________. We took a plane.
